I Have Windows 8.1

If you have Windows 8.1, you will find that the app will run right on your PC, and you will not need to proceed to any of the subsequent sections in this article. What you will want to do is the following:

Now, it is as simple as installing the app and playing it right on your PC. This is one of the great things about Windows 8.1: you can use a lot of apps on the operating system.

You will want to note that this is only a trial version, so you will need to buy the premium version to get a lot of use out of Pic Stitch. The cost of this app is currently just $1.99. The app is in English and you will need 16 MB of space to be able to properly install it.

For Non-Windows 8.1 Users

If you do not have Windows 8.1, you will need to use an emulator to run the app on your personal computer. By far, the easiest way to do this is with an Android emulator that will allow you to easily download Pic Stitch right from Google Play. If you do not have an emulator, there is a great free option available. Follow these steps to get started:

  • Go to BlueStacks and download the app player.
  • Install BlueStacks.
  • Run BlueStacks.

What this does is allow you to use an Android environment right on your PC. Essentially, the program creates a fake SIM card and will act just like a regular Android device – minus the ability to receive calls. Once you have started this program, you will see that you can search for apps right at the top of the screen.

Locate the search box and simply type “Pic Stitch.” You will notice that the results are listed, and to the right of each result is an install button. This is what you will need to click on to get started. While the button says “install,” it is misleading. You will need to setup a Google Play account if you have not done so before actually proceeding.

Now, you will be brought to the app’s official page. You can now simply locate the install icon on the page and proceed with the app’s installation as you would on any regular Android device.

The only downside is you will need to download another app to transfer photos from your PC into the emulator appropriately.
